4's dan kerman joins us now with more on this. >> reporter: the woman who passed away, was 98 years old and died clara county. in addition to the flu she also suffered from a variety of other illnesses including pneumonia. public health officials say this should serve as a reminder that people should get a flu shot. this is especially important because the flu season has not yet peeked in california. in fact it may not peek until february or early march. >> we are in the middle of flu season it could get worse before it gets better. there are other things that could happen. we must stay hydrated. keep our hands washed anybody over six months of age, the youngest, the oldest, and higher risk individuals. >> pam: how well does this current strains of flu a match with the vaccine that is available? we asked that same question and he says the this is a very good match. you never know what quite match is coming out but this should help knock it out. remember, it takes a couple of weeks for it to get into your system. waiting would be a problem. >> pam: our team coverage continues. even w
